    Three Easy Steps for Using your SugarBaby Saver!                                       

    For Fresh Brown Sugar

    1. Once your SugarBaby Saver is washed and dried fill it with your favourite brand or type of brown sugar.
      The SugarBaby Saver holds up to a 1 Kg (2.2 Lb. pound) bag.
    2. Moisten the sponge and squeeze out any excess water, so it is only damp and never overtly wet or dripping.
    3. Return the food grade sponge to the humidor lid, close and fasten the lid into place.

    Your brown sugar will remain soft and usable for many months on end!

     Remoisten as needed approximately 3-4 X per year!

    For Rehydrating Rock-hard Brown Sugar

    Stop throwing out your rock-hard brown sugar! Refresh it with just a touch more water!

    For Other Food Products or Items

    Dried Fruit, marshmallows, soft candy, pet treats, coconut, baking, cigars/tobacco or any item that needs a touch of moisture to keep its freshness.

    1. Always start with FRESH food products or alternate items because the SugarBaby Saver only works to keep other items fresher longer. These items can not be rehydrated like hard brown sugar can.
    2. Remove the sponge from the humidor lid and choose to either moisten the sponge with less water or firmly
      squeeze out all of the excess water.
    3. Overall it requires less water to keep other food products/items fresh over time.
    4. Remoisten approximately every 6 months to keep your favorites fresher longer!

  • Instructions

    3 Easy Steps:

    1. Fill any wide mouth mason jar with desired products. Fit the humi pocket into the top of the mason jar and ensure that an appropriate gap allowance exists between the humi pocket and the contents within the jar. The humi pocket should never touch the stored contents because it holds the food grade sponge/moisture source.
    2. Moisten the sponge and squeeze out excess water; it should feel damp, not dripping
      (filtered or distilled water is recommended but not necessary). Place the moist sponge into the humi pocket insert. See more detailed moisture recommendations
      below.
      *the only time the sponge is more moist (but still never dripping) is when re-hydrating rock-hard brown sugar.
    3. Cover with metal lid and tighten ring into place. *If the ring pops upon tightening, simply remove the ring and squeeze it on both sides which helps the threads to catch properly when re-tightening it back into place. If that doesn’t work then replace the metal ring.

                                         

    Smaller sized wide mouth mason jars hold less food product and require less humidity, so a fully moistened sponge is not needed. Recommended water absorption amounts are as follows:

    • 250 ml/8 oz | 500 ml/16 oz or 750 ml/25 oz require less water and humidity, moisten a half full sponge, squeezing any excess water from the sponge.
    • 1L/32 oz or larger, moisten
      the sponge fully, squeezing any excess water from the sponge.
    • 1.5L/50 oz and 1.9 L/64 oz are the largest wide mouth mason jar sizes and fit a full bag of brown sugar (1 Kg or 2.2 Lb.).
